While we unfortunately still don’t have a date yet when we can re-open the park we are busy in the background on adapting everything to the new HSE guidelines so that when we get the go ahead we are ready to hit the ground running. 
As many of you know we had started the year with a new booking system and scheduling for our sessions – one of the big changes was that you could book more specific times on the park, meaning less people out on the start dock at any one time and less hanging around. With social distancing having become an essential part of the world we live in this new system and schedule makes achieving this much easier. 
 
Please find a lot of relevant information below. Anyone who has outstanding credit will get an email from us in the next week with how to use that credit on the new booking system.

New Booking System for Wakedock
New Year – New Booking System! First off, before we get into the nitty gritty of what has changed, I’ll reassure you that any credit you had on Sports Booker is obviously still valid and can be used for future sessions. How the bookings are made online has changed a little bit, but I will get into that below.
It’s been a long time coming and we finally made the step to choose a booking system we feel works better with the sessions we offer. As with all change, there will be some things that we will all miss about Sports Booker and then there will be some things that work much better in Checkfront and we hope you will all find it as useful as we do after a while.
So what has changed?

In the top right corner you have the option to set up an account which we will do for you if you currently have credit on Sports Booker (and you either have or will soon receive a password reset request from us). You will need to do this yourself if you are planning on purchasing one of our new multi-session passes in the future.
You will still be able to book sessions as before directly online and also over the phone.
 
NEW: It is no longer possible to pre-book equipment like wetsuits and wakeboards online. This will be done on site when you arrive and has to be paid by card. There is always plenty of equipment available, so no need to worry about that.
We now offer sessions every 15 minutes and a boat shuttle every 30 minutes
You can now book the exact set you like, not only at the full hour. This has many advantages for our customers in knowing better how long you’ll be with us for your set. Here are some example timings:
Your set is a 10.30am – arrival 10am, shuttle boat 10.30am
Your set is at 10.45am – arrival 10am, shuttle boat at 10.30am
So depending on the time of your set you will have to be with us between 30-45 minutes before your start time.
But what about the weekly calendar view? 
My favourite view to look at available sessions and maybe yours too, is gone and cannot be replicated in the new booking system. However, you can easily see availability for a certain date, or when you click into one date and then want to exlpore more dates you just have to click on the little calendar in the pop up to see days with available sessions.
What happened to the session savers? 
The session savers and session saver values stay the same.
Spend €137.50, get €12.50 extra
Spend €250, get €50 extra
Spend €562.50, get €187.50 extra
Spend €1000, get €500 extra
Spend €1750, get €1250 extra
Session savers are non-transferrable so as before you can use them only to pay for your own sessions. If you use them to pay for your friends, they can then pay by card on site and we will add the value to your account again.
NEW: Session savers cannot be used to pay for equipment rental. Equipment rental is paid separately on site.
New pricing structure:
We made our pricing a little bit simpler. Off peak is now anytime during the week, only the weekends and bank holidays are peak.
Because we love to see groms on the park so much, children now pay less at the weekend too (€20 per set at the weekend, €15 per set during the week).
Do I have to fill in a new waiver?
Yes, all customers will have to sign the waiver on the new booking system before their first session. It is not necessary to sign it again after that unless the wording changes. If that happens, we will notify you.
