Information for competitors

Wakedock Wake Park is delighted to be hosting the 2015 Waterways Ireland National Cable Wakeboarding Championships on Saturday and Sunday 27th/28th June in Grand Canal Dock, Dublin 4.

Ireland’s best cable wakeboarders will compete for the title of Irish Champion in several categories for ladies, men and youths.

Spectators can expect high adrenaline jumps and tricks over ramps on the course in the waters of the Grand Canal Dock. Set before the background of the Bord Gais Energy Theatre and the Dublin Docklands the event offers a unique photo opportunity for Irish extreme sports in an urban setting.

The best viewing point will be on Hanover Quay and photojournalists are welcome to take pictures from the start dock or from the vantage point of one of our boats.

Sunday 28th June – 10am to 3pm Competition Heats followed by Finals in all categories

Family Fun Day 26th June

Wakedock are running a watersports open day supported by Waterways Ireland in the Grand Canal Dock on Friday 26th June.

Adults and children are invited to try their hand at wakeboarding, kayaking and stand up paddleboarding, no experience needed and all equipment provided. Open to everyone and free, but booking is essential.


Dinner 27th June

We will be finishing off the first day of competition with a dinner at ely bar & brasserie in the CHQ building. A ticket for the dinner is €30 per person.
