All bookings are subject to these terms and conditions
By submitting a booking the customer represents to us that they have the authority to make the booking for themselves or on behalf of a group and that they accept that the booking is subject to these Terms and Conditions. A contract exists as soon as the booking is confirmed, either via email or through our Online Booking Service Provider. Customers should check the details of their booking carefully and promptly to ensure that it accurately reflects the arrangement they have requested. They should immediately inform us of any discrepancies. Alterations can only be accepted up to 24 hours before a session commences. If customers would like to add another person/more people to their initial booking, this is possible, but only if there are places available.
If customers are under 18, we will require their parent’s/guardian’s consent prior to them using the System 2.0. A parental consent form will have to be filled in. No consent form will result in the customer not being able to attend their session – no refund will be given. When customers under 18 are coming in for the first time, it is necessary for a parent/guardian to accompany them. Once their consent has been given, they can use the System 2.0 without a parent/guardian present.
For all first-time bookings, a passport, driving licence or other proof of age (with photo) may be asked for at the time of check-in. If there is any doubt that a customer is not yet 18 and their parent/guardian is not with them to give their consent they will not be able to attend their session – no refund will be given.
All bookings for activities that are age restricted (kids boarding school, youth deal, tuition at the kids rate) require proof of age. If no proof of age can be provided at the time of check-in and there is any doubt about the age, it is at the discretion of staff to decide whether the customer can attend the session or not or will be charged the adult rate.
In order to avail of discounted student rates a valid student card is required at check-in. If no student card can be presented, the standard rate will be charged.
All session prices are subject to change. However, once a customer has made a booking the price will not be subject to any change, with exception held for omitted details or invoice errors. To attend a session it must be paid for in full at the time of booking. If a session is booked for multiple people, the full price for all people is due at the time of booking. Any session not paid for will not be valid.
If there are any alterations a customer wishes to make to their session, we will do what we reasonably can to accommodate them, but this may not always be possible. Alterations are possible up to 24 hours before the session starts. The price of the session may increase or decrease to reflect these changes.
Individual sessions: Customers may cancel their session at any time, however, there are charges for cancellations made less than 48 hours before a session commences. In the event of a cancellation less than 48 hours before the session commences, 20% of the session cost will be refunded and held as credit on the online booking system for future purchases. Non-attendance will result in the cost for the session being forfeited. In the event of cancellations made more than 48 hours before the session commences, the cost for the session will be held as a credit on the customer’s account, within the booking system. No cash refund will be given.
Group sessions (10 or more people): Customers may cancel their session at any time, however, there are charges for cancellations made less than 7 days before a session commences. In the event of a cancellation less than 7 days before the session commences, the amount paid-to-date will be forfeited. Non-attendance will result in the cost for the session being forfeited. A cash refund is only available for cancellations made more than 7 days before a group session commences.
Wakedock reserve the right to reschedule or cancel sessions at any time without prior notice, for example due to adverse weather conditions or any circumstance beyond our control. In the event of a cancellation/rescheduling, customers can choose to attend an alternative session or to have their session fee attributed to their account within the booking system.
Session savers have to be paid in full before the first session commences. Session savers are non-transferrable and are valid for 12 months.
Health and Safety
Safety is of great importance at all times. Wakeboarding / Waterski-ing / Kneeboarding can be hazardous and customers (if under the age of 18 their parents/guardians) must accept that there are risks when practising the above mentioned sports. Customers must comply with all safety and general instructions given by Wakedock and its staff. When participating in a session, customers must be in general good health and must satisfy themselves that the activities are within their abilities. When booking with Wakedock, customers (if under the age of 18 their parents/guardians) must make a true and accurate declaration of their health and must make Wakedock aware of any medical conditions they have. Wakedock reserves the right to refuse a booking on medical grounds.
The customer will permit for basic First Aid to be administered by a qualified member of staff or by a qualified medical practitioner and in case of a medical emergency for a medical practitioner to provide emergency treatment and/or medication.
Activities / Group Structure
All information on activities is given in good faith. All arrangements and activities are subject to change without prior notice.
Customers are required to be considerate towards others at Wakedock. If, in Wakedock’s reasonable opinion, the customer or any member of their party is behaving or likely to behave in such a way as to cause danger, upset or distress to any third party or damage to property, Wakedock is entitled without prior notice to expel the customer immediately. No refunds will be made and the customer is liable for any damage caused. The consumption of alcohol or drugs/illegal substances on Wakedock’s premises is strictly prohibited and will be prosecuted. Parents/Guardians are liable for their children.
The copyright and all other intellectual property rights in the products and services shown in Wakedock’s brochures, website and other materials shall at all times remain the property of Wakedock.
When purchasing session savers and for customers under the age of 18, we take a photograph when they are checking in for the first time, which will be saved within the booking system. This photo will not be used for any other purpose than identifying the customer for future visits. We occasionally take photographs during our sessions, which may appear in our brochures, website and other marketing materials. If a customer does not wish to be photographed this should be raised with Wakedock in writing before the session commences.
Membership of the Irish Waterski and Wakeboard Federation
By making a booking the customer (their parent’s/guardian’s if under 18) accepts that they (and all members of their group in case of a group booking) will become day members of the Irish Waterski and Wakeboard Federation on the day of their session at no extra cost.
Personal information requested by Wakedock is held in its original form and on computer. Wakedock is the data controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1988 and will process the data in accordance with the act. Wakedock will not divulge customer information onto Third Parties other than the Irish Waterski and Wakeboard Federation. By providing us with the information to process a booking, customers agree that their personal information can be held and accessed by our authorised staff and the Irish Waterski and Wakeboard Federation and used to contact them in the future by email or text.
Rights of third parties
A person who is not a party to this agreement (except where applicable) shall not have any rights under or in connection with it by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
Wakedock reserve the right to waive any or all of the conditions.
The contract and any dispute or claim arising out of it or in connection with it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Irish law. The customer irrevocably agrees that any dispute that arises shall be dealt with under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of The Republic of Ireland.
Understanding of Terms and Conditions
Wakedock’s acceptance of any booking will only be done subject to the customer’s acceptance of these conditions. Payment and/or a consent signature of the customer (parent/guardian if under 18 years) will be regarded as evidence of acceptance of and consent to these conditions and to release Wakedock, its directors, employees, volunteers, agents and sponsors from any liability no matter how arising with their attendance and participation in a session.
